Jumping

Tonight I was practicing with Tilda on her jumping. I don't always want to N.Q. because of Tilda knocking jump bars :) I found a website that had some ideas on why dogs knock jump bars and how to fix it. So one of the reasons was that the dog jumps too early and hits the jump bar. That sounds like Tilda :) To fix it they said to put a bar on the ground, (I'm using a board) and the dog has to jump between the bar and the jump. After time then make the bar (or board like I'm using) smaller.

The other reason that sounded like Tilda was that the dog jumps flat and fast hitting the jump bar. To fix that problem they said to put the jumps close together, so that after the dog takes a jump it has to take the next one right away. I have been doing that. But it also said that after time start adding other equipment before the jumps and after the jumps, which might not be a bad idea for Tilda.

Maybe practicing these with Tilda will help.
